Men of Platinum connects with its core audience with K L Rahul this cricketing season on Disney+ Hotstar

Men of Platinum, by the Platinum Guild International, celebrates men of character, who akin to platinum exhibit rare qualities, like compassion, inclusivity, perseverance, courage, resilience, self-belief even in the face of unprecedented challenges.

Being a brand whose core audience is affluent men, live sports advertising has always been a part of their media strategy to reach their target audience. For the ICC T20WC, PGI collaborated with the Disney+Hotstar Brand Lab team to create customized content that tells their brand’s story via cricketing legend KL Rahul. True to its product promise, celebrating rare qualities like compassion, inclusivity, perseverance, courage, resilience, self-belief even in the face of unprecedented challenges, Men of Platinum took viewers on a special journey with cricketing star KL Rahul through the show ‘The League of Platinum Men’. The 6-part mini series is currently available on Disney+ Hotstar.

Hosted by Archana Vijayan, the show features candid conversations with KL Rahul, offering a glimpse into the values that define KL Rahul and the men who have inspired him through their moments of truth. These are iconic players comprising the who’s who of the cricketing world.  Cricketing heroes who are known not only for their cricketing prowess but also their demonstration of character, both on and off the pitch.  We hear KL narrate instances where actions spoke louder than words, where players like Virat Kohli, Chris Gayle, Anil Kumble, Rahul Dravid made choices that displayed rare values making them a part of cricketing history forever. 

While Disney+ Hotstar is home to avid cricket fans, tournaments like the World Cup also attract infrequent fans who tune in to the platform to support the country. Launching Men of Platinum to coincide with the World Cup offers high engagement for fans looking for both sports and entertainment genres/content alike.
