KhataBook achieved 9% growth in brand awareness and 70k app installs by building association and purchase intent with the right audience on Disney+ Hotstar.

Could you ever imagine that an app built by a man originally to help his father keep track of his transactions, would witness INR 45,000 crores worth of transactions in a short span of time? KhataBook is a utility solution for small businesses to digitally record credit and debit transactions for their customers. KhataBook by Vaibhav Kalpe was an ambitious idea but needed more than just aspirations to thrive as a business.

Reaching the right audience

The aim was to build brand awareness and drive consideration amongst the retailers, business owners’ audience  with the messaging, ‘Khushiyon ka Khata’. Disney+ Hotstar served as the perfect platform for reaching this B2B audience in the most engaging way.

The perfect mix of messaging and content

With the right message (Khushiyon ka Khata) and Disney+ Hotstar’s sharp targeting, KhataBook reached their core target audience of SME’s on live sports.  Targeting this engaged audience on their preferred content via custom cohorts of B2B (Retailers, Business Owners) and Hindi Speaking Markets, drove reach for KhataBook. KhataBook built frequency for their campaign by using 10 second edits of the video.

A big boost in brand awareness

The campaign reached 13 million small and medium businesses via Disney+ Hotstar. The campaign saw a 6% increase in purchase intent and 9% increase in awareness. The campaign also delivered almost 70k installs within 30 days.
